    “Youth for Roosevelt” Bear has a warm, medium to longish mohair fur-
    jointed by seams where legs meet body so he can sit but otherwise is NOT jointed. He has a stitched inverted “V” mouth, bronze- colored metal , molded nose,
    amber glass eyes
    with black pupils. Seams diagonally down to nose/muzzle-rounded ears
    .
    Head is stuffed more firmly or stiffly compared to a softer body and limbs

    about 12 in
    tall-
    face looks like vintage Knickerbocker but he is NOT jointed and a smaller size than those see online so far.
    Bear looks vintage but could be  handmade to look vintage, so vintage is unknown and his origins are an estate sale.
    His vintage “Youth for Roosevelt” pinback button dates from the 30’s referencing Franklin Roosevelt (president from 1933-1945) though Theodore (president from 1901-1909)  is the one assoc. more with the “Teddy” bear…
