    Description

Alfred Gysi began his study of mandibular movement and articulator design in the early 1890s. In 1928, Gysi received a US patent for the Trubyte Articulator. Dentists who studied jaw movement generally assumed that the condyles were the rotation centers of the mandible. Gysi believed, however, that the vertical (opening) and lateral “rotation points” of the mandible existed only as “theoretical rotation centers” and not as actual anatomic structures. He emphasized, however, that these rotation points must be precisely calculated to use the full capabilities of his adjustable articulator. This booklet offers a technic for the use of the articulator in the construction of upper and lower dentures. 6” x 9” and 68 pages. Fully illustrated with b/w photographs. Mild wear.
