Used vintage eye chart made by American Optical Company. This is the company's "Number Chart" (model #1941). This model features numbers only (no letters). Size: 24" x 11". Made in the early-to-mid 1900s for use by ophthalmologists, optometrists and other medical professionals to test patients' clarity of distance vision. The chart belonged to my grandfather, a small town doctor who practiced from the 1930s to 1960s.
The chart has been professionally framed in a modern black metal frame with foam core backing and glass glazing (outer dimensions 24 1/4" x 11 1/4").
The chart is in good condition with some minor flaws. There's a horizontal crease across the center, corner creases, several minor marks/spots, but the chart still looks sharp. The black metal frame may have minor marks, but nothing significant.
Nice vintage optical/medical collectible, ready for hanging at home or office.
