Vintage Antique Jointed Mohair Teddy Bear

PLEASE look at the photos carefully! I found him and thought he was delightful.  I love the weave on the ears and etc.
See if you think he is Mohair ( a close up on the last photo).  Doesn't look like the typical mohair fur that I am familiar with but I believe it is, but I am not a collector.
He is in great condition---He's 10" when sitting
No tags but he has a small indentation on the left ear.  Maybe where a Steiff button was?  I don't know.
