Ole Skellington must have met his demise hunting squirrels or shrews in our barn.
Our squirrels are pretty crafty. They might have ganged up and waited for just the right moment to push a bale of hay over that landed on ole Skellington.
When we raked him up, his left rear leg became detached. I never saw his other ear.
He still has some teeth, claws, some whiskers, and fir on his feet and end of his tail.
He is 1 lb 2.5 oz., 20-1/2" long from ear to rump. Tail is 11" long.
It looks like the hay bale might have squeezed a little poop out of him.
