This listing is for the pin only.
I put an egg on it in some photos to give you an idea of how this looks. I have many eggs in my eBay store that would look gorgeous with this pin.
This listing is for one pin holder.
The eggs, display case, egg stand, and egg display tree shown in some photos are not included but may still be available for sale separately in my eBay store.
What is vermeil? Vermeil (ver-MAY) is not the same thing at all as gold-filled or gold-plated. It is a layer of gold permanently fused to solid sterling silver, precious metal on precious metal. It will be stamped 925 for sterling. Also called gilded silver or gilt, it is a durable product that can be worn daily and passed on to the next generation. The gold won’t rub off or flake off. Gold-filled (GF) and gold-plated (GP) is a plating of gold on a base metal, like copper. The former is more durable than the latter, but vermeil is much better than both.
This listing is for one egg pendant. The egg display case, egg stand, and egg display tree shown in some photos are not included but may still be available for sale separately in my eBay store.

Please check the bottom of this page for directions to it. The "
    Collecting
Russian Faberge-Style Sterling Silver, Vermeil, and Porcelain Egg Pendants
Buying Guide" has been expanded with many more color photos.
Here is an excerpt from the Buying Guide:
    “How is Value Determined?
With Russian silver gilt egg pendants, value is determined by a combination of factors including size, condition, age, design, gems (if any), precious metal content, and most of all, craftsmanship. Skill and craftsmanship are key. Size is the most overlooked factor but is critical to value. Typically, the larger the egg pendant or locket, the more valuable because of the extra labor and materials needed.
    Four major sizes include:
Petite: an egg pendant that is less than 3/4 inch (18mm) in length, excluding bale.
Medium: An egg or locket that is 3/4th inch (18mm) to 1 inch (25mm) long, excluding bale.
Large: an egg or locket that is 1 to 1 1/4 inches (31mm) in length or width, excluding bale.
Extra Large: an egg or locket that is over 1 1/4 inches (31mm) in length or width, excluding bale.”       End of excerpt.
Egg Pendant Gift Box and Shipping:
Your egg pendant will be carefully wrapped, placed into a gift box or gift bag and shipped in an outer cardboard box with padding, and
    not
in an envelope or mailer. (See my store if you are interested in buying an egg pendant display box or tree.) I can only ship to the official eBay address within the USA. If you buy other items from my store, please ask me about shipping discounts before sending payment.
My Seller FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions):
Allergy Note: All lots come from a smoke free and cat free home but pre-owned items may have originated in different conditions.
About Discounted Shipping: USA shipping only. I am happy to discount shipping within 48 hours of the first purchase if you request a discounted invoice after your last auction concludes but BEFORE payment is sent. Large fragile items are not usually subject to this option because they often have to ship in separate boxes.
I strive to ship items via the least expensive way possible to save you money, and I utilize eBay USPS shipping for just that reason, but tracking will always be included because it is an eBay requirement.
Shipping and Return Policy: I ship twice per week to USA addresses. I can only ship to your official eBay address and I do not ship on Saturday or during dangerous weather conditions. Please bear this in mind, as well as the post office transit time estimates, when looking at arrival dates.
In more than 20 years, my return policy has not changed. All sales are final - no returns or refunds unless there is a question of authenticity or a gross error in the description. If any thing you buy from me is not as described and photographed, you are entitled to a full refund of your purchase price after the item is returned. I do not typically offer partial refunds.
Payment Reminder: If you are new around here, you need to know that eBay automatically opens a case when payment fails to arrive within the required period. After a case is opened, buyers have several more days to send payment before the buyer account receives a “strike.” I have received angry emails from slow paying buyers who have no idea the process is automatic, hence, this reminder.
ABOUT FEEDBACK: My top priorities are answering email, writing accurate descriptions and fast shipping. Feedback is important but not my priority. I leave feedback only once or twice a month in large groups to save time.
IMPORTANT: About the Buying Guide Link: Since seller-written Buying Guides have been discontinued by eBay, I have expanded mine, added new photos, and moved them to Amaz*n and Kindl*. You can find them by typing the phrase “Buying Guide Russian Egg Pendants” in any Amaz*n search box. Below is a Table of Contents for this Buying Guide and info about the series.
    "Collecting
Russian Faberge-Style Sterling Silver, Vermeil, and Porcelain Egg Pendants"
was written to help the buyers of Russian egg pendants and lockets understand the background of this fascinating collecting field, to learn about some of the most popular types, and find resources for purchase, with photos throughout.
Eggs are the symbol of renewal, new beginnings, and springtime. Jewelers skilled in the art of Russian egg making create these small masterpieces inspired by the jeweled eggs made by Peter Carl Fabergé for the family of the Tsar during the 19th century. Typically, pure gold is applied over sterling silver, the egg is hand-enameled, and then each sparkling crystal and/or gemstone is added by hand.
Egg pendants made of gold, fine Italian art glass, filigree vermeil silver, wood, and enameled metal called cloisonné are also right at home in any egg pendant collection, too.
This series of booklets, Buying Guides for International Collectables, celebrates folk art and collectable items from around the world, including some that are not well-known but that are affordable and fascinating. Ceramics, wood carvings, semi-precious gemstones, embroidery, sculpture, and sterling silver figurines are just some of the areas explored. Let’s feast our eyes on the traditional arts and crafts of India, Mexico, Russia, Ghana, USA, Brazil, Japan, China, and many other nations.
