Large Bybee Cornelison Pottery Vase, Stunning Form & Gorgeous Glaze EXC

This stunning large vase was made by the Cornelison Pottery in Bybee, Ky. ca. 1920s. It has the classic
, sensual ‘coke bottle' shape and beautiful blue drip glaze has a unique 'draped' appearance. It is 12” ht. by 5.75” d. and weighs 4 lbs. 5 oz. It has no chips, cracks, or repairs. There is a light scratch near the top that is easily seen in the camera flash but less so in normal light. The glaze has small ‘pinhole’ pops common to pottery of the period. This large, wonderful vase is a great find, and this is first time this piece has been offered for online sale.
It could be a nice addition to a collection or a beautiful standalone piece!
The 200-year-old pottery was founded in 1809 by Webster Cornelison is based in Bybee, a community in Madison County, Kentucky. Members of the same Cornelison family continued to make and sell pottery until 2011.
