The Dovo 918052 is a badger brush with a light, smooth-skinned resin handle finished in black.  At sixty-eight grams, it's a tad heavier than many Brit near-equivalents in size/knot, but still what you might term a lighter style of brush.
These knots are entirely hand-formed by the craftspeople in Dovo’s own Solingen, Germany factory, and then set into their handles by machine.
As with a normal brush, the handle’s flat base can stand on a tabletop
(the Merkur brush 1701 matched to the Futur, as example,
must
use a stand)

The typical German version of ‘pure badger’ is *NOT* as scratchy as Simpsons, for example; what it means in German is more like ‘only badger’ or ‘all badger’ or ‘clean badger’, not the way the Brits term means.   In fact we would describe its minimum quality level as superior to Simpsons' "Best Badger", but Simpsons "Best Badger" has an extreme variance
(and in fact its best, to many, is better than their silvertip...the only problem's trying to determine who that is from imagery - you will not experience such variances with the Dovo knots, much higher lows and lower highs).
