  • Condition: Antique clothing from the early 20th C has been recycled in the 1990's into these hats. The workmanship varies. Some are lined others not. They have never been worn as hats. Condition of each hat is stated. Workmanship on this hat is not very fine, and the embroidery is a bit grubby! However it looks really good on.

    to make this one-of-a-kind hat.
    Exquisite pieces of embroidery
    together
    with the original indigo dyed hand spun cotton/hemp fabric was used. On some the Blue and white indigo dye batik is seen. Slightly different embroidery style with silver color metal medallions. Very rustic sewing technic, it is a hat of great character.
    It was purchased from the tribespeople in the early 1990's.
