Description
This carboard cigar box bears 2 tobacco tax stamps, one indicatingit was a "series 103" stamp, which I believe means that this box
dates to 1933. Cigar brand is Marsh Virginians, which were made
by the Marsh brothers in Wheeling, West Virginia. Box indicates
these cigars were made at Factory #40 in West Virginia.
Condition is used, with water damage evident on the bottom of
the box, as well as one of the back corners and the bottom of one
of the side panels, which is misshapen. Corners of the box are
a little loose, too. Back binding is intact, and one of the tax stamps
is largely intact, the other is about 3/4 gone. Generally worn
outside paper elements, inside lid label is in bright condition.
Shipped via USPS first class package.
